Week 8 edition of the Weekly Mock Draft Series

The race for the No. 1 overall pick is intensifying, with New England, Cleveland, Carolina, and Tennessee all sitting at just one win on the season. Cleveland looks poised to take the lead in this race, especially after losing Deshaun Watson to an Achilles injury and trading star wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills. However, the Tennessee Titans might also stake their claim after benching young quarterback Will Levis, following Carolina's move to bench Bryce Young earlier in the season.

The Las Vegas Raiders could soon join this group, after losing starting quarterback Aidan O'Connell to a broken thumb and reuniting Davante Adams with Aaron Rodgers via trade.

Meanwhile, the NFC North is on the rise, with all four teams having at least four wins. The Detroit Lions have emerged as conference leaders, despite losing star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson for the season. Over in the AFC, Josh Allen was playing like an MVP contender even before the Bills added Cooper, and Russell Wilson has rediscovered his "Danger-Russ" form, leading the Steelers to a crucial victory to remain tied with the Baltimore Ravens atop of the AFC North standings.

Oh, the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, you ask? They remain undefeated at 6-0, despite Patrick Mahomes not being at his MVP best and Travis Kelce eyeing to join his brother Jason in retirement. Yet, the Chiefs continue to find ways to win, powered by their elite defense and overcoming injuries to key offensive players.
